The South Snohomish County Chamber of Commerce recently announced the 2008 recipients of its annual HomeStreet Bank Business Excellence Awards. The five organizations will be honored at a chamber awards luncheon June 10.
Elle Marie Hair Studio in Mill Creek was one of the businesses to receive an award.
"It is a great honor to have been selected to receive the HomeStreet Bank Business Excellence Award. We are extremely fortunate to have been able to build such a talented team that works together so well," said Jody Bossert, co-owner and marketing manager of Elle Marie. "Given our strong focus on education, the team is more than confident in their ability to do great hair. This award however, which isn't specifically related to the hair industry, goes to the next level confirming their ability to execute on basic business principles as well. They've proven their ability to grow their business with excellent customer service, work as part of a cohesive team and support charitable efforts in the community to name a few. It thrills me to see our team achieve this type of recognition."
The other four businesses being honored are Comcast, Community Health Center of Snohomish County, Community Transit and Western Type & Print.
"Each year the Chamber's HomeStreet Bank Business Excellence Awards spotlight businesses and organizations that exemplify the strength and leadership of the local business community," said Chamber President Jean Hales. "Our 2008 award recipients represent the economic breadth and the community resourcefulness of our region."
The awards luncheon is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on June 10 at the Mill Creek Golf and Country Club. Bob Drewel, executive director of the Puget Sound Regional Council, will present the keynote address.
