Check out CutOuts, the lastest DVD in the Aspire Tour collection by 2011 Educator and Platform Artist of the Year, Sam Villa. The entire video was shot on location at Elle Marie Hair Studio in Mill Creek where Sam presented "Your inspiration for cutting fine hair" to the entire Elle Marie hair styling team!

As the weather continues to be of concern for us here in the Pacific Northwest, we wanted to give you a quick update on the extended hours we are offering to help accommodate you following the past couple days of salon closures. In addition to extended hours, we also have additional staff on hand as well as driving conditions allow.

When it comes to our team, safety is our top priority. Because of this, our salon hours have been scaled back greatly this week due to the snow. For the second day in a row, both Mill Creek and Lake Stevens salons are closed today. Driving is just too risky right now. Our second priority in these instances is accommodating our guests. With that in mind, please note the following changes:
MILL CREEK (425) 402-1900 - Typically closed on Sundays, the salon will be open this Sunday, January 22nd from 9:00am - 5:00pm.
LAKE STEVENS (425) 397-8883 - Will maintain standard hours this Sunday from 9:00am - 6:00pm, however additional staff will now be available to take appointments.
Feel free to call the salon to reschedule your appointment for this Sunday (or any future date). We will be checking voicemail at the salon regularly throughout the day. Phone numbers are available above.

Our team holiday party was Saturday, December 10th. Everyone had SO much fun! We presented a slideshow to share the wonderful memories we made in 2011. The team loved it, cheering and laughing at every photo, and ultimately wanted to be able to share it with their guests. So...here's a somewhat "behind the scenes" look at life at Elle Marie in 2011. Statistically hair grows slower by 1/8th of an inch per month during the winter months due to the lack of stimulation from the heat of the sun. The studies on what makes the sunlight trigger growth are somewhat unknown however there is a solution to grow hair quicker. We suggest to promote a healthy scalp and strong shiny hair use a sulfate free shampoo that is infused with Biotin, also known as Vitamin H or B. Our favorite at Elle Marie is Pureology’s Essential Repair Shampoo.
