Hollie was born in Bellevue and grew up in Yakima, WA. She graduated from Eastern Washington University in 1999 with a BS in Organizational Communications. After graduation she moved to Seattle where she completed a coveted internship with Sub Pop Records. She then went on to work for a group of local radio stations. "I liked my job," Hollie says, "but didn't feel passionate about it; it was a 'job'. One day I was asked THE QUESTION: If I had millions of dollars and never HAD to work what would I do? With out blinking an eye I answered, 'I would be a hair dresser!' That got my wheels turning and within a few months I was enrolled in cosmetology school. That was way back in 2001 and I have not had one second of regret. I love what I do!"

Hollie joined the Elle Marie team in February of 2008. Her favorite part of being a stylist is getting to know a person and identifying what she can do as their stylist to make them feel great about their hair. Although it is always exciting to create a total "new look", she prides herself on consistency. "I get an equal amount of satisfaction in educating my guests on how to have a style that fits their features AND their lifestyle, and still feel beautiful every day." says Hollie.

Family is extremely important to Hollie who cherishes time spent with her daughter Marlee, her mother and extended family. In her free time, Hollie has a passion for painting. "I have painted for my own enjoyment for years and in the past few years have been painting decorations for baby nursery's and children's rooms." says Hollie.
