Lorry was raised in Lynnwood, WA where her interest in hair design came at a young age. She jokes, "When I was a little girl my mom wouldn't buy me Barbie dolls because I always cut their hair off." She went on to graduate from Kamiak High School before beginning her career in cosmetology. Some of Lorry's career highlights include:

• 2000: Graduated from the Everett Beauty Academy
• 2000-2005: Joined a large salon chain at the Everett Mall where she received tons of experience working with seasoned stylists...then transferred to a small, independently-owned salon in Lake Stevens where she was able to experience salon management at the other end of the spectrum
• 5/06: Attended the Summit Salon Business College in Tampa, FL prior to opening Elle Marie Hair Studio
• 8/06: Opened Elle Marie Hair Studio
• 9/06: Received her PureOlogist Certification
• 1/07 & 1/09: Attended the bi-annual Redken Symposium in Las Vegas
• 2007: Became a Certified So.Cap. Hair Extensionist
• 4/09 & 4/09: Enjoyed trips to Puerto Vallarta paid for by our distributor, Maly's, for reaching yearly sales goals.
• Ongoing: Lorry continues to regularly attend numerous color and technique classes

In her spare time Lorry loves spending time with her friends and family. She and her husband have two sons, a daughter and a black lab named Charlie. Regarding her hobbies, Lorry smiles and states, "Shopping...need I say more?"

When not snipping locks, Lorry has been lucky enough to do some travelling. Her experiences include kissing the Blarney Stone in Ireland, tracking an elephant on a safari in Ghana, jet skiing in the Sea of Taiwan and enjoying frothy beverages at Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany.

Lorry is a talented hair designer however her greatest strength is her outgoing personality and ability to connect with her guests. She really enjoys building relationships with each one of them which ultimately helps her recommend styles that will not only be easily manageable, but on the cutting edge of fashion as well.
