Michelle - Hairstylist

Michelle is extremely family-oriented and was raised in a family of six in Edmonds where she ultimately graduated from Meadowdale High School. She now cherishes the opportunities she has to spend time with her young daughter. In addition to family, Michelle is a huge sports fan. She grew up playing soccer, softball and basketball.

Michelle began her cosmetology training at Northwest Hair Academy, but later finished up her schooling at Gene Juarez Academy. "I feel I'm in the right field of work because I love people, feel I am creative and just love the art of hair! I think that everyone should love their job and love to go to work each day, which I do!" says Michelle. "I love to see that smile on my guests face when I finish their service and know that I made them feel like a million bucks!"

"The moment I knew I wanted to be a hair stylist was when my best friend and I were foiling my hair (not having a clue what we were doing). We went out and bought some bleach and really cool colorful foils: blue, green, red, and yellow! Once we were finished, we approached the kitchen sink to remove the foils and wash the bleach out. Suddenly my best friend hesitated and then busted up laughing. I couldn't see what my hair looked like until I looked in the mirrow. It was red, blue, green and yellow! I freaked out! Junior year school pictures were the next day. Luckily, we figured it out and somehow got the colors to wash out, resulting in a beautiful blonde color. From that moment on I had numerous situations like that working on friends hair, but I loved what I was doing and always found a way to fix things. Then I went to school and the rest is history. I know what I'm doing now!"
