Sarah spent a few months at Everett Beauty Academy, then transferred to Northwest Hair Academy graduating in August of '03. She then landed her first hair design job at Regis in the Everett Mall. She spent 3 1/2 years there. This is also where she first met Lorry, who she then transitioned with to an independant salon in Lake Stevens. Her sense of humor is apparent as she discusses her roots, "I grew up in Everett and still live in Everett. I have actually never lived outside of Everett. I need to get out more!" As is common with Elle Marie's stylists, Sarah's interest in hair design has been a lifelong passion. "I have loved doing hair for as long as I can remember. I did my sister's hair for her wedding in 1998 and everyone thought she had it done in a salon. I feel I have always had a knack for hair." Sarah loves spending time with her boyfriend and 5-year-old daughter. In her limited spare time, Sarah has taken up knitting and also loves a good book, preferrably love stories. She also enjoys get-togethers with her friends and "letting lose" a little. When asked about her goals, Sarah explains, "I would love to become a VERY successful hairstylist and make enough money to only have to work part-time. I really want to see the world, especially Ireland and Italy. I would also like to see Iceland because that is where my family is from." Sarah considers her specialty to be color, but laughs when she states, "I love coloring and foiling hair the most. Cutting's not bad either. I like everything."
