UPDATE APRIL 1, 2021 – Throughout the course of the COVID-19 pandemic we have taken all reasonable and required safety measures in an effort to promote the safety of our staff and clients. As vaccines become more readily available we are continuing to follow good safety practices above and beyond what is recommended by the CDC and required by local and state authorities. Because of legal confidentiality and privacy requirements, we cannot share with you information regarding the vaccine status of any of our staff. Please rest assured, however, that promoting the safety of clients and staff remains a top priority as more of the general public are able to get vaccinated and (hopefully) we move toward the end of this very difficult time for all of us.
In accordance with the Official Phase 3 Personal Services COVID-19 Requirements, we have implemented the following measures to ensure the health and safety of our team, our guests, and our community:

Masks or other facial coverings are to be worn by every individual within the salon at all times. If you do not bring a mask with you, we will have disposable masks available for purchase when you arrive for $2 + tax.
When you arrive, you will check in at our Sanitation Station. Your temperature will be checked and your hands will be sanitized. We are unable to offer our in-salon waiting area at this time. If we cannot immediately seat you for your service, you will be asked to return to your vehicle to wait. We will call or text you when your service provider is ready.
Unfortunately, only individuals who are actively receiving a service are allowed within the salon. Please arrive alone to your appointment. For guests under 18, a parent or guardian may be present for the consultation only. Exceptions can be made for those requiring a caretaker as capacity allows.
Please only bring items that are essential for your service into the salon, such as a beverage, payment method, and phone. All other personal items, such as jackets, purses, laptops, and food must be left in your vehicle or at home.
Cash payments are STRONGLY discouraged at this time. If you would like, we are able to securely store your credit card information on file so that your transaction can be touchless.
A clean and sanitized cape will be provided for your service. Additional protective wear for chemical services such as their color gowns will not be provided at this time. It is suggested to wear something that may get color on it. Elle Marie Hair studio assumes no responsibility for clothing items that are damaged in any way during your service.
While it breaks our hearts, right now we unfortunately cannot give you a hug or a handshake. Virtual and air hugs are encouraged!
Home care products are still be available for purchase. Home care will be set aside, sanitized, and placed in a personalized bag for you during check out.
Failure to comply with these and other potential requirements will be treated as a No Show, and all associated No Show Fees will apply.
SERVICE PROVIDER EXPECTATIONS
Elle Marie Team Members who are afflicted with, or shows symptoms of influenza, COVID-19 or the common cold will not be permitted on site.
All Service Providers and Guest Service Administrators have their temperatures checked and hands sanitized prior to entering the facility.
Guest Service Administrators will wear a mask or other facial covering at all times while within the facility.
Stylists will wear a mask or other facial covering, face shield or eyewear, gloves, and an apron during your service. The required PPE will be changed between each service.
All service touch points, such as implements, workstations, and shampoo bowls, are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between each guest.
All frequently-touched surfaced, such as door handled, counters, light switches, and restrooms, are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized every 15 – 30 minutes.
We will continue to strictly follow all safety and sanitation standards for schools, cosmetologists, hair designers, manicurists, estheticians, master estheticians, barbers, instructors, salons/shops, mobile units and personal services as outlined by the Washington State Department of Licensing.
We understand these measures take away from the experience we all have come to know and love when receiving providing a service at Elle Marie. It is our duty to “follow the rules” set forth by the State of Washington to help flatten the curve. Our hope is that all our guests and team members understand the need for these extreme measures during this time. As we all tread through these uncharted waters, we look forward to finding our new normal together.
CANCELLATION POLICY & NO SHOW FEES
Elle Marie Hair Studio requires a minimum of 24 hour’s notice for all reservation changes or cancellations.
We understand that appointments can occasionally slip your mind and therefore offer several reminders prior to your appointment. These include email reminders 5, 3, and 2 days prior, a text reminder 1 day prior, and a phone call for all color appointments 2 days prior.
Due to the new social distancing and occupancy guidelines, appointment availability is extremely limited. As such, this cancellation policy will be strictly enforced.
Should you fail to show up for your appointment within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, refuse to comply with the required Safety & Sanitation measures, or fail to provide Elle Marie Hair Studio with the minimum required 24 hours notice for any changes or cancellations, a No Show Fee of 50% of the services scheduled will be charged to the credit card associated with your account for the first occurrence. If you do not have a credit card on file, a Booking Hold will be placed on your account until the balance is paid in full. This No Show Fee will increase to 75% upon the second occurrence, and 100% upon the third.
While Elle Marie appreciates all of our guests as a whole, our commission-based stylists rely on each and every guest to accommodate their own personal finances. If you are unable to attend an appointment, we would greatly appreciate your help in providing us as much notice as possible to allow our stylists to offer that time slot to other guests.
